Casino bonuses are where a lot of players get caught. We see it all the time while checking Aussie casino offers. The banner says 100%, AU$200, or “free bonus money,” and it looks fine at first.
Then you open the terms, and the real work starts.
The bonus might have 35x wagering, a AU$5 max bet, a short expiry time, or games that barely count.
There’s literally no way to escape bonus wagering requirements, and that's exactly why we built this calculator. It helps you check the real numbers before you deposit.

The casino bonus pages often focus on the nicest number. Our calculator shows the harder number, which is the playthrough sitting behind the offer.
All you have to do is find a good casino bonus, open the exact terms for that bonus (we need deposit amount, match percentage, bonus cap, wagering requirement, game contribution, and RTP), and insert them in our calculator.
Once those fields are filled in, the tool shows:
Free bonus money
Total play money
Amount to wager
Theoretical win
But if you still haven’t chosen a casino bonus, you can check our collection of the best casino bonuses for Aussies, or even search by bonus type:
We divided the casino bonus calculator into “Deposit Bonus” and “Free Bonus Money”, and that’s the first thing you need to choose. This is mainly for the casino bonus type.
Choose Deposit Bonus when the casino gives you bonus money after you make a deposit. Welcome bonuses, reloads, free spins…
A simple example is a 100% bonus up to AU$200. If you deposit AU$100, the casino adds AU$100 in bonus money.
Choose Free Bonus Money when the casino gives you bonus cash without matching a deposit. These are usually no deposit offers, loyalty credits, or small promo rewards.
The calculator works best when you copy the numbers straight from the casino bonus terms. So, open the exact terms for the bonus you want to claim, and just fill in these:
Wagering type tells the calculator which balance the casino uses for playthrough.
Bonus Only means wagering applies to the bonus money only.
Deposit + Bonus means wagering applies to your deposit and the bonus together. This can make the final target much bigger, even when the offer looks fair.
For example, a AU$100 deposit with a AU$100 bonus gives AU$200 total play money. With 30x deposit plus bonus wagering, that becomes AU$6,000 in required bets.
The deposit amount is the money you plan to deposit at the casino. If you type AU$100, the calculator uses AU$100 as the starting point.
The deposit match is the percentage the casino adds as bonus money.
A 50% match on AU$100 gives AU$50 in bonus money. A 100% match gives AU$100. A 200% match gives AU$200, unless the bonus limit cuts it down.
The bonus limit is the most bonus money the casino will give you.
If a bonus says “100% up to AU$200,” the limit is AU$200. The casino will not keep matching your deposit after that point.
So, a AU$100 deposit gives AU$100 bonus money. A AU$500 deposit still gives only AU$200 bonus money.
The wagering requirement is shown as a number like 15x, 30x, 40x, or 50x. It tells you how many times the bonus must be bet.
This is the most important term of every bonus because it decides how much “work” you need to do to be able to withdraw anything you won from the bonus.
A AU$100 bonus with 15x wagering means AU$1,500 in required bets if wagering applies to bonus money only.
That does not mean you need to win AU$1,500. It means you need to place AU$1,500 worth of bets before withdrawal is normally allowed.
We think that anything above 40x is very hard to complete.
Game contribution shows how much each bet counts toward wagering.
This applies to the casino game you want to play. If you want to play pokies, and pokies count 100%, a AU$1 spin counts as AU$1 toward the wagering target. If blackjack counts 10%, a AU$1 bet only counts as 10 cents.
That makes a huge difference. A AU$1,500 wagering target is already a lot. If the game contributes only 10%, the real play needed becomes much heavier.
We’ve reviewed thousands of bonuses, and pokies usually count the most (100%), so if it isn’t a game-specific bonus, try to play pokies to clear the wagering.
RTP means return to player. It shows the long-term average return built into the game.
A 96.5% RTP game is expected to return AU$96.50 for every AU$100 wagered over a very large number of rounds.
That does not tell you what will happen tonight. You could lose fast, win early, or finish nowhere near the estimate.
So, if you already know what pokie you will be playing, find the RTP of that pokie, and insert it in the calculator. The RTP helps the calculator show you how much value may be lost while trying to clear wagering.
Try to play pokies with 97%+ RTP.
Free Bonus Money shows how much bonus cash the casino should add. It uses your deposit, match percentage, and bonus limit.
Total Play Money shows your deposit plus the bonus money. This is the balance you start with after the bonus is added.
Amount to Wager shows how much betting volume is needed before cashout. This is the number to check first.
Theoretical Win shows a rough estimate after wagering, based on the RTP entered. Treat it as a guide, not a promise.
Let’s say an Aussie casino offers a 100% deposit bonus up to AU$200, with 15x wagering on bonus money only. You deposit AU$100, so the casino adds another AU$100 as bonus money.
That gives you AU$200 to play with in total. Your AU$100 deposit is real money, and the extra AU$100 is bonus money tied to the casino’s terms.
Because this example uses Bonus Only wagering, the calculator only applies wagering to the AU$100 bonus. The formula is simple:
AU$100 bonus × 15x wagering = AU$1,500 to wager
This means you would need to place AU$1,500 worth of bets before the bonus-linked balance can usually be withdrawn. You do not need to win AU$1,500, but you do need to bet that amount across eligible games.
Now add the game RTP. If the game has 96.5% RTP, the expected loss over AU$1,500 in bets is about AU$52.50. That comes from the 3.5% house edge.
So, from the AU$200 starting balance, the calculator shows a rough theoretical result of about AU$148 after wagering.
That number is not a promise. You can still lose the balance quickly, or you can hit a strong run and finish higher. The value is in seeing the bonus clearly before you claim it.
For a deposit bonus:
Deposit Amount × Deposit Match % = Bonus Money
Then the bonus limit is applied. If the matched amount is higher than the limit, the bonus is capped.
For bonus-only wagering:
Bonus Money × Wagering Requirement = Amount to Wager
For deposit plus bonus wagering:
Deposit + Bonus Money × Wagering Requirement = Amount to Wager
